More about the Judo 50p
Judo was established in Japan in 1882, but didn't make it's Olympic debut until 1964 in Tokyo. To win the contest, a contestant must score an 'Ippon' by using a successful technique. The Judo 50p was designed by David Cornell, a painter and sculptor from Bexhill on Sea.
